About…

I am an independent curator and writer based in Calgary and the Founder of ComeBackLater, an online platform dedicated to amplifying artists’ voices in the city. I have co-curated exhibitions and produced publications in Florence, Italy, as well as in Calgary, Canada. My curatorial approach emphasizes academic inclusion, active viewership, and feminist art practices. I am passionate about creating platforms for emerging artists and aspire to build intentional communities where they can share their work and ideas.

With a background spanning writing, copywriting, cataloging, curating, design, project management, and social media, I bring a versatile and collaborative approach to every project. I'm always eager to connect with individuals and organizations looking to create meaningful work. For contract opportunities or to discuss how I can support your next project, please reach out at aliskilnick@gmail.com or check my contact page.

I would like to make special mention to my mentors who have molded me and inspired me to move forward in my curatorial pursuits: Thank you to Justin Randolf Thompson (Black Archive Alliance), Martino Margheri (Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi), Daria Filardo (IED Firenze), Andrea Wiarda (NABA _ Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano), and Irene Campolmi (Koes Museum).
